Position Summary
The Warehouse Operations Intern will assist in the daily operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes. They will support the team in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, participate in cycle counts and assist with stock replenishment and collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
Responsibilities
- Rotate through various warehouse departments such as order fulfillment, shipping, operations, inventory control, and facilities to build practical experience.
- Develop leadership skills by learning how to manage and motivate warehouse teams effectively.
- Collaborate on special projects under the guidance of an experienced mentor.
- Contribute to daily warehouse operations, including tasks like picking, packing, and inventory management.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a third-year student pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- Strong interest in warehouse operations, logistics, and team leadership
- Eager to learn in a hands-on environment and take initiative on tasks and projects
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate in a team setting
- Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and willingness to learn warehouse software systems.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or qualified U.S. Person in accordance with ALU 22CFR 120.15.
Physical Requirements
- This position is regularly exposed to the following conditions:
- Manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.
- While working near moving equipment, mechanical parts and lift trucks; must have the ability to follow safe operating procedures.
- May be exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals.
- Must have the following physical abilities:
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, reach, and lift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a desk or table as well as machine tools or printers.
