Executive Assistant (JC-476889) - Executive Division/Executive Director's Office

With over 100 staff from diverse backgrounds, the Executive Director’s Office and External Affairs Division collaborate with other CPUC Divisions and partners to develop and enforce policies and regulations for essential utility services. As strategic agency partners, our team prioritizes building trust, fostering engagement, connecting teams, and delivering impactful results. Staff advise CPUC Commissioners and work in coordination with the Governor’s Office, the California Legislature, and a variety of external stakeholders.

We are seeking two Executive Assistants to provide essential administrative support: one for our Executive Director, and one for our Deputy Executive Director for External Affairs and the Division’s Directors. Under direction of the Executive Director or Deputy Executive Director for External Affairs, the Executive Assistant will independently perform administrative and secretarial tasks, including facilitating and scheduling site visits and other virtual and in-person meetings, reviewing and screening incoming correspondence, maintaining and updating records, handling and researching sensitive Division matters, and working with staff to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director and/or Division Directors’ Offices.

Working Conditions

This position requires travel.
