Business Development - Marketing Intern (Pack STEM, Saatvik Advisors, Summer 2025)

About Saatvik Advisors: 

We offer cyber & internet security services to SMB clients. We offer Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Services and the global transition to the new IP addressing protocol IPv6 in compliance with federal requirements. We also participate and contribute to global internet governance and policy forums. We develop risk assessment and mitigation strategies for managing a company's intersection of cyber & internet security. 

  

We are developing a methodology for behaviour based systems analysis. We were the first Northern Nevada company to be invited to participate in ZeroLabs Innovation Launchpad, sponsored by GOED & UNLV for this product.

Our founder is a globally recognized writer and speaker in IP addressing. She was a panelist in UNR's 2024 Cybersecurity Conference. She is leading the world's only behaviour based research into the transition to IPv6. She is a former Board Director for Momentum for Health. She holds an MBA from Santa Clara University. She also serves on UNR's Nevada for Excellence in Disabilities Community Advisory Committee and is increasingly active in legislation benefiting the visually impaired as well as internet infrastructure. 

 

Internship Description: 

This internship will contribute to the effort to develop business development strategies and plans for procurement of direct customer sales and potential development partners. This position will contribute to the effort to obtain conditional purchase agreements. This position will potentially present to potential investors. 

 

This position will identify potential marketing channels and communication strategies for targeted audiences. This position will address the implications of AI and communicating product differentiation. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Complete 360 hours of work as an intern (32-40 hours per week, 12 weeks total) 
  • This internship will: 
  • lead the effort to define research-based profiles for customers and potential development partners. 
  • identify factors necessary to adequately define customer and development partner profiles 
  • develop communication strategies for reaching potential customers and development partners 
  • document methodology, conclusions and recommendations in appropriate presentation methods (ie, online, slide decks, leave-behinds, QR codes) 
  • This role may contribute to the development of a logo. 

 

Goals and Expectations of the Intern: 

  • Develop and make recommendations for customer and development partner profiles. 
  • Ability to justify conclusions and recommendation using research to stakeholders (ie, supervisor, investors) 
  • Adequately document research methodology, conclusions and recommendations. 
  • Communicate methodology, conclusions and recommendations in written, graphical or visual form as necessary. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be a degree-seeking student at the University of Nevada, Reno after the Spring ‘25 semester  
  • Spring ‘25 or earlier graduates are not eligible for the Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program 
  • Exposure/knowledge of business research sources. 
  • Exposure/knowledge of customer profile development. 
  • Exposure/knowledge of development of targeted communication strategies and channels. 
  • Exposure/knowledge of development of marketing collateral. 
  • Exposure/knowledge of technology business development & marketing. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Work experience/practicum with business research sources. 
  • Work experience/practicum with customer profile development. 
  • Work experience/practicum with development of targeted communication strategies and channels. 
  • Work experience/practicum with development of marketing collateral. 
  • Work experience/practicum with technology business development & marketing. 

 

Desired Schedule for Intern: 

  • The intern will work the number of hours allocated by the internship program. The intern will have the flexibility to schedule the work around their academic schedules (if applicable). 
  • Applicants may be available to attend business or startup events, based on their interest. 

 

Pack STEM internships require interns to complete 360 hours during their internship. It is the intern’s responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
