Web Development Intern (Pack STEM, LionDragon Studio, Summer 2025)

About LionDragon Studio: 

LionDragon Studio supports the Reno entrepreneurial community. We design and develop software prototypes and proof-of-concept software applications for startups or corporations seeking to innovate. We offer software and graphic design as a service. 

 

Internship Description: 

The Web Development Intern will support LionDragon's team by working with engineers and fellow interns in assisting in building a web presence for various projects. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Complete 360 hours of work as an intern (32-40 hours per week, 12 weeks total) 
  • The Web Development Intern will collaborate with the UI/UX intern on building and testing website/web applications under supervision. They will implement UI components and small features. Work will be predominately front-end. 

 

Goals and Expectations of the Intern: 

  • Will have accumulated experience translating artwork to engineering 
  • We expect interns to continuously communicate (i.e., if they are blocked or have questions), to remain professional at meetings, and to remain organized. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be a degree-seeking student at the University of Nevada, Reno after the Spring ‘25 semester  
  • Spring ‘25 or earlier graduates are not eligible for the Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program 
  • Working knowledge with HTML/CSS 
  • Working knowledge in at least one front-end framework (i.e., React, Angular, etc.) 
  • Proficient with version control 
  • A portfolio of sample work (preferably via Github) 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Background in art/design is a plus 
  • Testing framework knowledge 
  • Back-end knowledge also a plus 

 

Desired Schedule for Intern: 

Applicants must be available to work at least 30-40 hours a week. Applicants can schedule work with their team flexibly at the office any day of the week between 8am-7pm. We prefer weekly workdays to be contiguous. 

 

Pack STEM internships require interns to complete 360 hours during their internship. It is the intern’s responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
