Full Stack Web Development Intern (Pack STEM, SpecifiedPros, Summer 2025)

About SpecifiedPros:
SpecifiedPros.com is a startup business focused on a beta and launch of a new dynamic social/business media website. SpecifiedPro's founder has been involved in the construction business for 30 years, has developed multiple commercial product lines, SpecifiedPro's utilizes a unique feature set designed to connect our site homeowners (property owners seeking construction services and products) with our site contractors AND the entire spectrum of companies' construction products, materials, related brands and product lines. SpecifiedPros plans to launch a marketing campaign to attract website users by July 4th, 2025. There will be a mass mailing campaign to launch the site to contractors by that date.

Internship Description:
The Full Stack Web Development Intern will be responsible for utilizing Bolt.new and Grok AI to quickly develop a working social/business media website startup with a specific feature set. The website is already well along and working in basic features. The intern will enjoy the standard benefits of a website startup based in Northern Nevada and the is a possibility to continue on after internship ends. Intern may be offered equity position in the startup at some time in the future, this is not to be expected, but SpecifiedPros aims to build from the inside out, retaining local employees for the long term.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Complete 360 hours of work as an intern (32-40 hours per week, 12 weeks total)
- Maintain consistent communication with CEO over the course of the workday
- Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Assist in designing and developing a user-friendly, responsive, scalable, full-stack website
- Write clean and efficient code using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of the application to ensure high-quality performance and functionality.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
Goals and Expectations of the Intern:
- Intern will develop and grow software development skillset through work on a website/social media network.
- The intern will work closely alongside an experienced entrepreneur, gaining firsthand experience in the entrepreneurial process within a small team environment. This role provides direct mentorship and valuable insight into idea generation, product development, marketing strategies, and the dedication required for business success.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a degree-seeking student at the University of Nevada, Reno after the Spring ‘25 semester
- Spring ‘25 or earlier graduates are not eligible for the Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program
- Be able to validate and check code while working as a team using Bolt.new AI and Grok
- Have strong experience in database management, including working with Supabase
- Be able to "see" the Network and how it builds by usage from various member types, homeowners, contractors and manufacturers
- Anticipate challenges which will arise from growth of the network
- Be willing to eventually work as team member with marketing and other business depts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient time management skills to facilitate timeline of site launch
- Determined to be part of a growing company on the ground floor
Desired Schedule for Intern:
Flexible, will work with the intern to develop a schedule that works for both them and the company.
Pack STEM internships require interns to complete 360 hours during their internship. It is the intern’s responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
