The Illinois Department of Human Services is seeking a dynamic Bureau Chief to lead the Bureau of Systems Support in Springfield, IL. If you’re ready to drive change and ensure the efficiency of Illinois’ accounting system, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

💼 What You’ll Do:
• Lead and implement policies for the State of Illinois Accounting System.
• Manage and direct professional staff in providing functional and technical support.
• Represent the Office of Fiscal Services with key agencies, including the Budget Office, Comptroller’s Office, and more.
• Oversee the development and execution of user training materials and resources.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, managing accounting systems effectively.

📚 What We’re Looking For:
• Requires knowledge equivalent to a 4-year college degree in business, fiscal, or accounting.
• 4+ years of progressively responsible administrative fiscal/accounting experience.
• Preferred: 5+ years of professional experience with state accounting systems, policies, and leadership.
