
Manufacturing Engineer Intern (Pack STEM, AEONrv, Summer '25)

Internship Description:
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will assist the manufacturing team with creating and refining manufacturing processes, writing manufacturing processes and designing production aid tooling. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will work for the Manufacturing Engineering team in the efforts to scale production and improve efficiencies. As a member of our small (but quickly growing), dedicated team, you will work closely with our manufacturing team to ensure that the vehicles are built to detailed specifications with a high degree of safety and an eye for world-class quality.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Complete 360 hours of work as an intern (32-40 hours per week, 12 weeks total)
- Assist the manufacturing engineering team with adding and improving processes, tooling and fixtures to increase quality and efficiency.
- Initiate Engineering Change Requests (ECR)
- Perform work with a high degree of skill and focus on quality and details.
- Consistently work with an eye toward safety and continuous improvement for self and others.
- Keep all work areas clean and tidy throughout the workday.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Must be a degree-seeking student at the University of Nevada, Reno after the Spring ‘25 semester
- Spring ‘25 or earlier graduates are not eligible for the Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program
- Enrolled in an engineering related field.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Read and interpret floor plans, layouts and technical diagrams.
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Self-motivated and reliable with good communication skills and good analytical problem-solving ability.
- Action oriented, self-starter and fast learner with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting in accordance with the company culture and values.
- Possess a strong sense of work ethic, personal responsibility and commitment to work outcomes, particularly toward quality and safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good written and verbal communication
- Able to precisely follow instructions
- Openness to asking questions
- CAD experience a plus.
Desired Schedule for Intern:
- Monday – Friday, between 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pack STEM internships require interns to complete 360 hours during their internship. It is the intern’s responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
