Associate Architect
The City of South Lake Tahoe is currently recruiting for an Associate Architect. The Associate Architect is a mid-level manager who will be involved in designing and constructing new City facilities, including the ongoing Aquatic and Recreation Facility, a new Fire Station, a new Parks Department Facility, and the modification of over 43 City Facilities. The City has recently completed a Condition Assessment Study that has identified over $50 million in retrofit and upgrade projects. The Associate Architect will design and implement the identified upgrades with the Facilities Maintenance group. The Associate Architect must be a registered Architect in California.

Associate Architect – The Associate Architect is the full journey level class in the professional architectural classification. Positions in this class possess the applicable educational and training background required for classes in the professional architectural design and facilities projects, including appropriate certificates and licenses in the field, as well as practical work experience. The Associate Architect position is based on demonstrated proficiency in performing the assigned functions and/or certification or testing that validates the performance of the full range of duties and is at the discretion of higher level supervisory or management staff.
