The Club at ArrowCreek

About The Club at ArrowCreek:

Located in Reno with incredible views of the Sierra Nevada, The Club at ArrowCreek is a private, full-service country club built around hospitality, recreation, and community. Our Club features 36 holes of championship golf, multiple dining venues, fitness and pickleball, a pool complex, social and family programming, live music, wine and culinary experiences, golf tournaments, and year-round member events.

But ArrowCreek is about much more than amenities. We are in the business of creating experiences and building community. Our team works together across Food & Beverage, Culinary, Golf, Agronomy, Recreation, Events, Membership, Marketing, Facilities, Finance, and People & Culture to create a place where members and employees feel like they belong.

Internship Description:

The Club Experience & Engagement Intern will gain hands-on experience in the private club and hospitality industry while working alongside the Club’s leadership team. This internship is designed for a student who enjoys working with people, creating experiences, bringing ideas to life, and learning how a private club operates.

The intern will assist with member events and programming, employee culture and engagement, social media and Club communications, and day-to-day Club experience initiatives. They will have opportunities to help plan and execute events, create and capture social media content, develop employee engagement programs, interact with members and employees, and contribute new ideas that strengthen the ArrowCreek community.

This is not an internship where you will spend your entire time behind a desk. We want the intern to experience the Club, meet people, participate in events, learn from different departments, and take ownership of projects from idea through execution.

By the end of the internship, the student will have gained practical experience in hospitality operations, event planning, marketing and communications, employee engagement, member experience, teamwork, and leadership, while building a portfolio of projects and experiences they can take into their future career.

Great fit for someone studying: Hospitality, Business, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Event Management, or a related field.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning, promotion, setup, execution, and follow-up of member and employee events.

Desired Schedule for Intern:

We understand that school comes first and will work with the intern to create a schedule that accommodates their class schedule, academic requirements, and internship hour requirements. Weekly hours will be flexible based on the student’s school schedule and internship requirements. Because many Club events and activities take place outside traditional business hours, some evenings and weekends will be required. The schedule may vary from week to week depending on member events, employee programs, and Club activities. Advance communication and flexibility will be important when coordinating schedules. We want the intern to have the opportunity to participate in a variety of Club experiences and events while maintaining a healthy balance with their academic responsibilities.

PIGP internships require interns to complete 120 hours during their internship. It is the intern’s responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
