What Makes Odyssey Different?
Odyssey combines structured education, direct access to company leaders, and meaningful work on current Comstock projects. Students learn how Comstock approaches complex problems and then apply that knowledge to real organizational needs.
Participants are taught:
Theory of Constraints: Identifying and addressing the factors limiting a system’s performance
Theory of Profound Knowledge: Understanding systems, variation, knowledge, and human behavior
The Decalogue: Integrating these theories into a structured process for understanding and improving organizations
Thinking Processes: Examining cause and effect, testing assumptions, resolving conflicts, and developing solutions
Students apply the Five Focusing Steps to their project work: identify the constraint, exploit it, subordinate other activities to it, elevate it, and repeat the process.
No prior knowledge of these methods is required.
