Position Description

 

Title:  Intern, Trading and Operations

Employment Term:  Part-Time

Location:  Reno, NV (Hybrid Arrangements Considered)

Job Summary

The internship involves weekly operations, research, and administrative duties. Operations duties include account reconciliation, data analysis, and ad-hoc projects. Administrative responsibilities include organizational tasks for compliance and general office assistance. Research duties includes compiling data from Bloomberg Terminal, CapitalIQ, Valueline and other sources. The intern may be tasked with additional responsibilities, subject to demonstrated mastery of initial tasks. The intern primarily works with the trading and operations team. This is a fast-paced, collaborative, and interactive work environment. 

 

This internship typically runs the duration of a semester system with the potential of leading to a full-time opportunity / extended internship. 

 

Training Provided:

Training includes but is not limited to the Bloomberg Terminal, SalesForce & Excel. The intern can expect to gain knowledge on trading various securities (stocks, bonds, mutual funds), account reconciliation, compliance, performance reporting, collecting investment data, billing, and maintaining data in the trade order management system (OMS).

 

Qualifications:

  • Well versed in the use of all Microsoft Office Applications, strong excel skills
  • Demonstrated passion for financial markets and investment analysis 
  • Intelligent, Proactive, Resourceful, Detail-Oriented, Excellent Communication Skills, Strong Work Ethic, Good at Multi-tasking
  • Desire/ability to work successfully in a small company environment
  • Outstanding academic background
