Direct Support Professional
The Direct Support Team Leader supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in vocational training, life enrichment, and community-based activities. This role provides guidance to staff and participants while promoting a safe, positive, and structured environment.
This position is part-time, Monday–Friday, approximately 9:00 AM–3:00 PM.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide daily guidance and general supervision to team members
- Support individuals in vocational, enrichment, and community-based activities
- Assist with implementation of habilitation and skill-building plans
- Teach and model appropriate workplace and community behaviors
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and structured environment
- Assist with documentation and required program records
- Support individuals with personal care needs, including restroom assistance when necessary
- Manage behavioral challenges in accordance with company policies
- Participate in required meetings and trainings
- Follow all organizational policies and safety procedures
- Helping to Transport (with company vehicles) people with disabilities out in the community.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid authorization to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- Interest in supporting individuals with disabilities (experience preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Access to insured vehicle for approved work-related travel (mileage reimbursement provided)

- CPR/First Aid certification required (may obtain within 30 days; employer paid)
