Sales Engineering Intern
About Skarmy
What if anyone could turn an idea into a real company?
We are Skarmy. We are building the AI company builder: a platform that helps people go from idea to product, brand, launch, customers, operations, and growth.
We are a lean team in San Francisco, in person, every day.
We are hiring aggressively.
Backed by Pareto Holdings and early-stage angels, including investors who were early in Mercury, Ramp, Deel, and 50+ other unicorns.
The Role
This is not a role where you sit in the corner, make slide decks, and wait for someone to hand you a call script.
You help founders, operators, and early users understand what Skarmy can do, then work with engineering, product, and growth to turn that feedback into a better product.
You are half technical builder, half customer-facing operator. You can explain the product, demo the product, understand a user’s company idea, map their workflow, and help them get value from Skarmy.
This role is for someone who wants to be close to product, customers, and revenue at the same time.
What You Will Own
Product demos. Help show founders, students, creators, operators, and small teams how Skarmy turns an idea into a company.
User onboarding. Walk early users through Skarmy, help them set up their company workspace, understand their goals, and get them to their first “aha” moment.
Sales engineering. Translate customer needs into product workflows, agent tasks, integrations, and implementation plans.
Customer discovery. Talk to users constantly. Understand what they are trying to build, what is confusing, what they would pay for, and what would make Skarmy indispensable.
Technical explanation. Explain agents, workflows, approvals, integrations, and automation in a way that feels simple to non-technical users.
Feedback loops. Turn user conversations into clear notes for engineering, product, design, growth, and leadership.
Prototype solutions. Help build lightweight demos, automations, templates, workflows, and examples that show what Skarmy can do.
GTM support. Help with outreach, follow-ups, user calls, founder dinners, demo days, alpha testing, waitlist activation, and early customer conversion.
Revenue learning. Learn what users care about, what they are willing to pay for, and how Skarmy should position itself in the market.
Shipping velocity. This is not fake intern work. You will work directly with the team on real users, real feedback, real demos, and real product decisions.
What We Are Looking For
You are technical enough to understand software, AI products, APIs, workflows, and integrations.
You are customer-facing enough to talk to founders, ask good questions, explain clearly, and build trust.
You care about product, not just selling. You notice when something feels confusing, slow, unnecessary, or magical, and you can explain why.
You are comfortable with ambiguity. Early users will not always know what they want. Your job is to help figure it out.
You have high agency. You do not wait around for permission.
You communicate clearly. You can write a good follow-up email, summarize a customer call, explain a product gap, or pitch a feature.
You are unusually good at something. Maybe you built a tool, ran a club, closed sponsorships, made content, automated a workflow, helped sell a product, built a startup project, or convinced people to try something new.
Bonus
You have experience with startups, sales, consulting, customer success, product, or growth.
You have built apps, websites, automations, agents, or side projects before.
You have experience with LLMs, AI tools, workflow automation, CRM tools, or no-code tools.
You have done founder-led sales, campus sales, technical demos, or customer interviews.
You are good at making complicated things sound simple.
How We Work
We work five to six days a week at the office.
We move fast, talk to users constantly, ship aggressively, and care about making Skarmy feel magical.
We go out, decompress, and are human. We really love concerts, KBBQs, founder dinners, and strange experiments.
The rest of the time, we are building.
By applying, you agree to sign up for the Skarmy.
