Seven Post Trust Company (“Trust Company”) is a Nevada retail trust company located in Reno, Nevada. The Trust Company is an affiliate of Seven Post Investment Office LP (“Seven Post”). Seven Post was established in 2011 to provide comprehensive wealth management solutions to ultra-wealthy families.1 The firm’s senior team has worked together managing client portfolios for over 20 years. Internship Program Overview
Seven Post Trust Company is pleased to offer a paid, full-time Summer Internship Program for current college and university students. We are seeking 2–4 interns to join our Reno, Nevada office for a structured 10-week program designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience in wealth management, trust administration, finance, operations, and technology.
Our internship program is built on the belief that great interns become great colleagues. Each participant will be embedded within our team, assigned a dedicated senior mentor, and given the opportunity to contribute to real projects that matter to our clients and our firm. The program culminates in a formal project presentation delivered to Seven Post colleagues, giving interns the chance to demonstrate their growth and the impact of their work.
Program Structure
Dedicated Mentorship
Each intern will be paired with a dedicated professional who will serve as their primary mentor throughout the 10-week program. Mentors will provide regular guidance, feedback, and career development conversations, helping interns connect their academic foundations to real-world practice.
Structured Training & Learning
Interns will participate in a structured curriculum of training and educational sessions during the course of the program, covering topics that may include:
• Foundations of wealth management, trust administration, and fiduciary responsibility
• Investment management concepts and portfolio analytics
• Financial reporting, accounting practices, and compliance frameworks
• Data analysis, technology systems, and operational infrastructure
• Professional skills development, including written and verbal communication
Capstone Project
Each intern will be assigned a meaningful capstone project at the outset of the program. Projects will be scoped to align with both the intern’s academic background and a genuine need of the firm. The project structure includes:
• Defined project scope and objectives
• Milestone check-ins with mentors and leadership throughout the summer
• A formal final deliverable presented to Seven Post colleagues at the conclusion of the program
• Constructive feedback and evaluation to support ongoing professional development
Illustrative Responsibilities:
• Contribute to technology and data initiatives, including process automation, data visualization, and systems improvement
• Support trust administration and client onboarding processes, including document review and data organization
• Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models, reports, and data analyses
• Conduct research on investment, compliance, regulatory, or operational topics
• Assist with the preparation of meeting materials, presentations, and internal reports
• Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues across investment, operations, compliance, and client service teams
• Actively participate in firm meetings, training sessions, and team events throughout the summer
Required Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program; rising juniors, seniors, and graduate students are encouraged to apply
• Pursuing a degree in computer science, data science, finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or a related field
• Impeccable integrity and ethical standards, including an unwavering commitment to confidentiality
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, professional environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of initiative, intellectual curiosity, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, or Excel (advanced)
• Familiarity with financial statements, accounting principles, or investment concepts
• Prior internship, research, or project experience in a professional or academic setting
• Interest in wealth management, trust administration, financial technology, or related fields
Seven Post Trust Company offers a competitive salary for the duration of the 10-week program, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Interns will work full-time (40 hours per week) in our Reno, Nevada office.
