Business Development & Sales Intern (Atlas Health, Pack Intern, Summer 2026)

About Atlas Health Solutions Incorporated: 

Atlas Health Solutions is a Reno-based startup building a platform that connects clients with health and fitness coaches and nutritionists. The platform brings messaging, scheduling, payments, and progress tracking into one place, making it easier for clients to stay consistent while giving coaches the tools to run their business independently. 

  

Internship Description: 

The Business Development & Sales Intern will support Atlas in growing its trainer and client network by assisting with market research, outreach support, lead tracking, and partnership development activities. This intern will gain hands-on experience in business development operations and sales support in a startup environment. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Complete 360 hours of work as an intern (32-40 hours per week, 9 weeks minimum) 
  • Conduct market and competitor research related to fitness coaching and local services 
  • Assist in identifying and organizing potential partnership and lead opportunities 
  • Support outreach efforts and follow-up coordination (email and messaging drafts, scheduling support) 
  • Help maintain accurate lead and partnership tracking (pipeline organization and reporting) 
  • Assist with preparing short summaries of findings, outreach results, and weekly updates 
  • Collaborate with the team to refine value propositions and outreach messaging based on feedback 

 

 

Goals and Expectations of the Intern: 

The intern is expected to develop professional skills in market research, communication, and sales-operations support while contributing to real business development initiatives. By the end of the internship, the intern should be able to independently complete defined research and outreach-support tasks, maintain organized lead tracking, and communicate progress clearly during check-ins. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be a degree-seeking undergraduate OR graduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno after the Spring ‘26 semester  
  • Spring ‘26 or earlier graduates are not eligible for the Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program 
  • Student must be enrolled in a major or minor program in the following colleges: 
    • Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Natural Resources (CABNR) 
    • Business 
    • Engineering 
    • Science 
    • Public Health/Orvis 
  • Strong communication and willingness to take feedback 
  • Reliable and able to collaborate with a small team in a hybrid environment 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Interest in entrepreneurship, startups, sales, or business development 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong organization and attention to detail 
  • Comfort working with goals, timelines, and task ownership 
  • Interest in health, wellness, or fitness (preferred, not required) 

 

 

Desired Schedule for Intern: 

32–40 hours per week over the summer term, generally Monday–Friday during standard business hours, with scheduling coordinated in advance with the supervisor. 

 

Pack STEM internships require interns to complete 360 hours during their internship. It is the intern’s responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
