Legal Case Manager
Reno Staffing is looking for a legal case manager for a Personal Injury office located in the Reno area, 89502!
Full time and Temp to Hire Monday-Friday
The Position
Legal Case Managers perform a broad variety of duties. They should possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position is under the direct supervision of the Attorney/Owner for the company. The Legal Case Manager is responsible for the overall management of the legal case files from beginning to case closure including:
- Meeting with clients at intake stage to sign up the case with the attorney;
- Inputting client and case information into the case management program;
- Setting up claims with insurance companies;
- Ordering and gathering medical records, police reports, photographs, lost wages, and other information about clients’ cases;
- Interviewing clients to assess their needs and develop plans to meet those needs;
- Organizing and maintaining records, managing caseload requirements and monitoring budgets, timelines, and billing for case completion;
- Coordinating client meetings with attorneys or other legal professionals as needed;
- Coordinating case progress with attorneys, clients, physicians, insurance companies and other parties involved in the case;
- Reviewing medical reporting and billing and staying appraised of client’s treatment needs with policy limits in mind;
- Filing documents with the court.
This position also performs a variety of clerical, secretarial and administrative support duties.
- These duties include but are not limited to
- Answering telephones and interfacing with walk-ins
- Responding to client phone calls and emails, drafting, editing, and sending out letters and email, following processes and procedures.
- Data entry, mail handling, meeting scheduling and setup, and office travel coordination.
- This position is outward facing, requiring inter-office communication as well as communication and assistance with members of the public.
- A high degree of professionalism in both demeanor and attire is required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Spanish speaking is preferred but not required.
To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements (unless waived by owner):
- Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
- Graduation from high school or equivalent education
- Three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims, and budgeting; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities;
- OR one year of experience in a relevant position in a law office; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting may be required.
This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
