About greenUP!:
greenUP! provides environmental education to businesses in Nevada, helping cut down on waste, reduce valuable resource consumption, and fight climate change in an environmentally safe and cost-effective manner.
greenUP! exists to serve as a coalition for organizations and individuals interested in environmental issues. We manage the Nevada Green Business Network. We work with small to medium-sized businesses to offer free assistance and recognize efforts that save energy and water, reduce waste, prevent pollution and stormwater impacts, and encourage better commute options. Businesses fill in a checklist of best practices that they can implement, and we certify businesses that meet minimum thresholds of environmental performance. Once certified, we help to promote green businesses throughout the state.
At its core, greenUP! believes in the transformative power of sustainable business practices to build thriving, resilient communities. The organization's commitment extends beyond just the environment-it includes a pledge to ensure fairness and inclusivity for all, especially those who have historically borne the brunt of environmental harm. Driven by passion and purpose, greenUP! is more than an organization-it's a movement to inspire lasting, meaningful change for people and the planet.
