Chewy is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic HR Generalist Intern to join our fulfillment center teams in either Jessup, PA, Wilkes-Barre, PA, Reno, NV or Belton, MO. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in a dynamic HR environment, bridging administrative HR tasks and employee engagement initiatives. In this role, you will gain valuable hands-on experience learning core HR processes, employee relations, and talent development practices.

The Experience: 
Our undergraduate HR Generalist Internship is a hands-on 10-week opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge, passion for human resources, and drive for employee engagement in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Over the course of the program, you will immerse yourself in the core functions of HR—from onboarding and employee relations to talent development and HR data management—while actively participating in the daily operations of our Fulfillment Center. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

Assist with coordinating new hire onboarding activities, including documentation, preparation of materials, and orientation sessions 

Support new hire orientation programs by delivering presentations on company policies, benefits, and procedures 

Manage and update employee records in the HRIS system and assist with payroll-related activities 

Support the planning and execution of employee recognition programs, events, and engagement initiatives 

Shadow HR leadership in employee relations tasks, such as performance management discussions and investigations 

Help analyze HR data to spot trends in engagement, retention, and performance 

Partner with leadership to brainstorm and implement creative ways to enhance employee experiences 

 

What You’ll Need: 

Enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s degree program, in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2027   

Strong organizational and communication skills, with an eye for detail 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 

Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism 

A desire to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment, with a strong interest in HR as a career 

Current permanent U.S. work authorization required

Ability to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, from June 8, 2026 - August 14, 2026

 

The hourly range for this role is $23.00.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. C08+ positions may also be eligible for annual bonus.
