The Navy’s Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program (BDCP) offers a unique opportunity for college students to earn full-time pay and benefits while completing their degree. This program helps cover the cost of your tuition, books, housing, and meals—and guarantees a position as a Naval Officer after graduation.
What is BDCP?
- BDCP is designed to support your education and prepare you for a leadership role in the Navy. While you're still in college, you'll receive:
- Full-time pay while in school (~60K annually)
- Monthly stipends to cover living expenses
- Medical, dental, and life insurance (with family coverage available)
- 30 days of paid vacation each year

Who Is Eligible?
- BDCP is open to a variety of applicants—whether you're a civilian, Navy Reserve Sailor, or have prior military experience in another branch. To qualify, you must:
- Be at least 19 years old
- Be enrolled in or accepted to a four-year accredited college or university that does not have an NROTC program/ not eligible for NROTC
- Be a full-time student
- Have completed at least 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale
- Meet Navy physical fitness requirements
