Senior Developer Analyst

Annual Salary: $98,924.80 - $128,627.20

Position Information:

The Senior Developer Analyst performs and leads a variety of services related to complex system and application design and development; plans, coordinates, and implements assigned projects; and performs related work as required.

The current vacancy is in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Please be advised this list may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur in any of the two (2) specialized program areas within Technology Services. These include Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of full-time experience as a systems developer or geographic information systems developer or analyst, two years of which included systems analysis and design AND a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer information systems, geographic information systems, or a closely related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License Or Certificate

A valid driver’s license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained for continued employment in this classification.

About the current vacancy in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

Under direction, lead the implementation of new functions and/or modules in the County’s ERP system (SAP). Resolve complex enterprise system error messages or customer requests. Proficient ERP development and analytical skills in financials and/or HR. Strong understanding of configuration, master data, and transactions in ERP system(s), including the ability to read and understand ABAP code. Experience with SAP is preferred.

  • Have skills in the full development spectrum from requirements through production support in the areas of custom modules, conversion programs, interfaces, reports and forms.

For vacancies in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

The Ideal Candidate Will  

  • Have ability to work independently, diagnose and solve technical problems, and make customers their top priority.  
  • Understand web-based GIS fundamentals. 
  • Be experienced with cloud-based GIS tools or platforms such as ArcGIS Online. 
  • Be experienced with desktop-based GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro.  
  • Have an understanding and ability to write code in Python, Arcade, and SQL.    
  • Have a demonstrated record of flexibility and creative problem-solving.  
  • Be a self-starter who strives to improve skills and remain current in the application of Geographic Information Systems to local and regional government business processes.   
  • Have a reputation for their excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills with customers and work team colleagues. 
  • Have the ability to handle multiple priorities with minimum supervision.
  • Be able to demonstrate effective coaching skills to develop and mentor staff.
