Marketing Intern (TRU Venture Marketing, Pack Intern, Spring 2026)

TRU Venture Marketing is a dynamic and growing advertising agency specializing in lead generation advertising on platforms such as Google, Instagram, and Facebook.  

  

We help sales-oriented businesses build their lead pipeline through data-driven ad strategies, innovative campaigns, and highly targeted ad placements. 

 

Internship Description: 

TRU Venture Marketing is a creative and performance-driven agency helping brands grow through bold strategy, data and design. As a Marketing Intern, you will support both client initiatives and TRU’s internal marketing efforts across digital campaigns, social media, branding and content creation. This hands-on role provides exposure to multiple marketing disciplines and offers the opportunity to build experience in storytelling, design, and digital strategy while contributing to our agency’s creative output. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Complete 150 hours of work as an intern (8-15 hours per week, 15 weeks total) 
  • Assist with creating and optimizing Google Business Profile and Yelp pages and posting updates 
  • Support ad copywriting, brand messaging, and blog writing for clients and TRU 
  • Contribute to social media strategy and content creation, including TRU’s own channels 
  • Help design presentations, pitch decks, and print materials 
  • Collaborate with creative and client teams to ensure brand alignment 
  • Assist with content scheduling, reporting, and brainstorming new ideas 

 

Goals and Expectations of the Intern: 

  • Gain hands-on experience across multiple marketing disciplines, including GBP/Yelp management, copywriting, social media, and design 
  • Develop strong storytelling and design skills and learn to translate strategy into compelling content 
  • Learn agency workflow and collaboration with creative and client teams 
  • Deliver high-quality, on-brand creative materials and adhere to deadlines 
  • Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and attention to detail 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be a degree-seeking undergraduate OR graduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno during the Spring ‘26 semester  
  • Fall ‘25 or earlier graduates are not eligible for the Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program 
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or a related field 
  • Strong writing and communication skills 
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic design tools (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) 
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks 
  • Creative instincts and interest in branding, advertising and digital strategy 
  • Exposure and proficiency with AI Tools (ChatGPT, Claude etc) 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Creative thinker with strong storytelling and design skills 
  • Proficient in social media management and basic design tools (Canva or Adobe) 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Organized and detail-oriented 
  • Proactive and eager to learn 
  • Passionate about branding, advertising, and digital strategy. 

 

Desired Schedule for Intern: 

Approximately 12 hours per week with flexibility during standard business hours; remote or hybrid schedule based in Reno, NV; some scheduled meetings and deadlines but can be arranged around academic commitments. 

 

Pack STEM internships require interns to complete 150 hours during their internship. It is the intern’s responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
