Transportation Technician 3 (in-Training)

Spokane, WA – Eastern Region

$47,100 – $87,048 Annually

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking an engineering technician to perform skilled technical work in support of activities of highway design and construction projects in Spokane, WA. In this role, you will support WSDOT’s mission by ensuring highway construction projects are designed and constructed in compliance with standard specifications, contract specifications and contract plans. We are looking for an entry or mid-level engineering technician, who wants to grow and broaden their experience in transportation engineering. The Transportation Technician selected for this opportunity will perform duties to include field site assessments, basic-level design, construction inspection, materials testing, and basic surveying to ensure WSDOT projects are designed and constructed according to established standard and specifications. In this high impact role, you will be working in varied environments, such as out in the field, in an office atmosphere, and in the laboratory.
