Safety/Training/EOC Coordinator - CSD

Annual Salary: $67,433.60 - $87,651.20

Position Information:

The Safety/Training/EOC Coordinator - CSD coordinates the safety program within the Community Services Department; and performs related duties as required.


Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of full-time work experience developing, implementing, and monitoring a safety program in a construction or public works environment; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience. 

License or Certificate

- A valid driver’s license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained for continued employment in this classification.
- OSHA 10-hour certification is required at the time of appointment; OSHA 30-hour certification must be obtained within six months of date of appointment and both certifications must be maintained for continued employment in this classification.
- CPR and Basic First Aid (Instructor Level) must be obtained within six months of date of appointment and must be maintained for continued employment within this classification.

- ICS 100, 191, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800 must be obtained within one year of date of appointment and must be maintained for continued employment within this classification.

Ideal Candidate Will 

- Have in-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, DOT regulations, environmental compliance, and hazardous materials handling.
- Have experience conducting safety audits, worksite inspections, accident investigations, and recommends corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
- Have experience designing and executing safety training programs, tracking certifications, and overseeing compliance processes.
- Be an effective communicator able to engages employees at all levels, fostering a culture of safety and teamwork while effectively coordinating with leadership and regulatory bodies.
- Be a safety leader able to improve safety culture and processes.
