Manufacturing Engineering Manager (#JJ-0325). Manage Manufacturing SMT (Surface Mount Technology) engineering team. Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows printed circuit boards to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements. Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotas. Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaboration and cohesion. Establish an effective and efficient work sequence. Device new solutions to existing manufacturing problems. Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification. Develop best practices and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output. Manage cost and time constraints. Perform risk assessments: DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering Mechatronics or a related field. 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering; employer will accept pre- and post-Bachelor’s degree experience. Work experience to include:1. Five years of experience in production and processing of electronic manufacturing components, including quality control; cost identification; resource allocation and planning; development of instruction manuals for all processes and controls; and implementation of techniques to enhance effectiveness of manufacturing processes. 2. Five years of experience in project management including the development of production plans for new products, and the development of a chain of processes for existing equipment. 3. Four years of experience in purchasing production machinery, equipment and parts including pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and electrical components. 4. Two years of experience in selection and supervision of service providers for industrial maintenance. 5. Two years of experience preparing and managing quality control documents and quality systems for manufacturing production. 6. Organizing maintenance schedules of electronics manufacturing equipment. 7. Leading cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, optimize tooling, and reduce manufacturing costs in the Through-Hole (TH) area utilizing Continuous Improvement and Lean principles and concepts: 5S, DMAIC, Lean, Six Sigma, value stream mapping, control charting, and ANOVA. 8. Managing audits, including ISO certifications, customer QA audits and qualifications. 9. Participating in personnel management, including hiring, training, evaluating, and discharging staff. Any and all experience can be gained concurrently.
