Reno Fundraising Research & Donor Relations Intern (Remote)

Political fundraising consulting firm Tissot Solutions LLC is hiring a paid Intern based in Reno, NV. This part-time position is fully remote for 12 to 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate is a college student at a higher education institution in Reno.

We service Democratic and Non-Partisan candidates for elected office and advocacy non-profits. Internship:

At Tissot Solutions, our Interns are involved in day-to-day work on our donor data. This work includes finding phone numbers, verifying phone numbers, scheduling donor calls for our clients, and writing donor biographies. Our firm prides itself on having the best donor data of any firm in Nevada, Utah, or Washington, and is now in the process of expanding to New Mexico. Interns also get the opportunity to shadow client call time, attend & staff client fundraisers, and learn more about how our firm serves candidates & non-profits. Main Workflows:

• Donor research
  • Finding phone numbers using our paid sources
  • Verifying phone numbers using our process
  • Writing donor biographies
• Donor database management
• Event calls & staffing
• Other miscellaneous fundraising tasks

Applicants for this position must:

• Be extremely detail-oriented.
• Be motivated to work independently without a formal office space. (Remote work!)
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have proven organizational skills.
• Be comfortable communicating on the telephone. We love talking to donors!
• Have a professional manner and be comfortable interacting with supporters of all backgrounds.
• Have a demonstrated interest in Democratic politics.
• Be trustworthy and discreet with confidential information.
• Live in the state of Nevada.
• Have a laptop/computer they can use regularly.

Prior campaign experience is not a requirement. Passion and motivation to help political candidates and value-driven organizations are what matter the most. 

Hours: Our business hours are weekdays from 9 AM to 6 PM, with the occasional evening and weekend obligations such as fundraising events or donor meetings. Interns must commit 12 to 20 hours per week during our business hours. Scheduled hours are flexible and can be adjusted to fit class schedules and other commitments.

Compensation & Benefits: – $12.00/hour / NV Minimum Wage
