About Moondeck:

We’re two brothers who bought a beat-up sailboat and somehow ended up starting a shoe company.

After spending over a decade in the corporate world – in healthcare and tech – we both felt the pull to slow down and take control of our time. Something we could build ourselves. That sailboat was a turning point. We didn’t know much about sailing, and even less about making shoes. But we knew the life we were after – something simpler, more mobile, and more in tune with how we actually live.

At Moondeck, you won’t just be completing tasks — you’ll be learning directly from a founder with over 12 years of experience leading complex, cross-functional teams in drug development and patient health. I’ve managed teams of up to 9 people directly and led project teams of over 50 across multiple functions, timelines, and deliverables.

You'll gain exposure to:

  • Real-world brand building from the ground up — from first product launch to live customer feedback
  • How to manage creative projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate cross-functionally
  • What it takes to navigate uncertainty, make decisions with limited data, and adapt quickly — core startup skills
  • How to prioritize what actually matters when building something new — and what doesn’t
  • Feedback loops that are clear, constructive, and focused on your growth
  • Access to discussions about fundraising, operations, product development, and digital strategy — even outside your direct role

Whether you're interested in branding, entrepreneurship, product, marketing, or leadership in general, this internship offers hands-on experience + mentorship you won’t find in a classroom. And if it’s the right fit, we’re open to long-term opportunities beyond the internship.
