Large Language Model (LLM) Architect Intern (Pack STEM, Saatvik Advisors, Fall 2025)

**This internship is hosted by Saatvik Advisors and sponsored by the Nevada Career Studio.

About Saatvik Advisors: 

We offer cyber & internet security services to SMB clients. We offer Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Services and the global transition to the new IP addressing protocol IPv6 in compliance with federal requirements. We also participate and contribute to global internet governance and policy forums. We develop risk assessment and mitigation strategies for managing a company's intersection of cyber & internet security. 

  

We are developing a methodology for behaviour based systems analysis. We were the first Northern Nevada company to be invited to participate in ZeroLabs Innovation Launchpad, sponsored by GOED & UNLV for this product.

Our founder is a globally recognized writer and speaker in IP addressing. She was a panelist in UNR's 2024 Cybersecurity Conference. She is leading the world's only behaviour based research into the transition to IPv6. She is a former Board Director for Momentum for Health. She holds an MBA from Santa Clara University. She also serves on UNR's Nevada for Excellence in Disabilities Community Advisory Committee and is increasingly active in legislation benefiting the visually impaired as well as internet infrastructure. 

 

Internship Description: 

The intern will develop large language models which will ingest the integrated data from the data selected and prepared by architects currently and previously working on the project. The intern will be able to develop a methodology and be able to provide a rationale for their approach. They will be able to participate in collaborative efforts with the data architect. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate effort with the data architect to determine appropriate data for ingestion into large language models.  
  • Contribute to the method for preparing data for ingestion.  
  • Make recommendations for software tools.  
  • Document their methodology.  
  • The intern will be expected to communicate in written and visualized form their recommendations and methodology.  
  • The intern will be able to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.  
  • Participate in weekly check-ins. 

 

Goals and Expectations of the Intern: 

They will be able to clearly articulate their rationale for selecting the data, the integration methodology. They will be expected to work relatively independently with minimal instruction. They should be able to show initiative for further investigating the resource they might be provided with. They will be expected to participate in one or more check-in sessions every week. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be a degree-seeking student at the University of Nevada, Reno after Summer ‘25 semester  
  • Summer ‘25 or earlier graduates are not eligible for the Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program 
  • Exhibits curiosity about familiar and new concepts.  
  • Academic experience with systems data and analysis.  
  • Academic experience in data selection and methods for ingestion into LLMs.  
  • Academic experience with LLM tools.  
  • Exposure to presentation and visualization tools.  
  • Academic experience will communicating complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Work experience with systems data and analysis.  
  • Work experience with building LLMs and providing rationale for the structure of the LLMs.  
  • Work experience with data structures and database technologies.  
  • Work experience with LLM tools. 

 

Desired Schedule for Intern: 

  • The intern will work the number of hours allocated by the internship program. The intern will have the flexibility to schedule the work around their academic schedules. 
  • Applicants may be available to attend business or startup events, based on their interest. 

 

Pack STEM internships require interns to complete 120 hours during their internship. It is the intern’s responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
