Public Health Nurse II

Annual Salary: $87,276.80 - $113,484.80

Position Information:

The Public Health Nurse II performs comprehensive and specialized professional public health nursing services for the community, individuals and families; provides clinic and home services, patient education, support and community service referrals; and performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Two years of public health nursing experience AND a bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.

License or Certificate:

- A valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada is required at the time of application and must be maintained for continued employment in this classification.
- A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained for continued employment in this classification.
- May be required to achieve and maintain valid CPR and First Aid certifications, depending on area of assignment.

The current vacancy is in the Housing and Homeless Services division within the Human Services Agency.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience serving populations with mental and behavioral health issues
- Have effective communications skills while maintaining professional boundaries
- Empathetically engage with various populations to provide professional care
- Have strong conflict resolution skills and ability to handle distressed clients

- Will have experience with client care in a clinic and community setting
- Will have the capacity to prioritize and effectively manage time
- Will have effective communications skills
- May have bilingual skills (oral and written)
