Math Tutor

Work Schedule: 

            Weekly 4 to 10 hrs max.

            Tuesdays      4 PM to  7 PM

           Wednesdays 4 PM to 7:15 PM

          Other weekday afternoon/evening – depending on tutoring need    

Resposibilities:

·        Tutor students in Math. Grade levels range from pre-K to 12th grade

• Teach lessons to students in the areas from Pre-K, Algebra, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calc and Calculus

                              --- Teaching materials and curriculum are provided.

           No work required outside of class time.

• Maintain student progress records.

Minimum Qualifications:

·        Third or Fourth year college student majoring in Math, Engineering or related field.

• Knowledge of Geometry, Algebra, Algebra 2, Pre-Calc and Calculus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as a team member.
• Ability to work independently and teach the class on his/her own.
• Ability to deal with students in a caring and confident manner.
• Experience in a tutorial program preferred, but not required. We provide extensive training!
• Special consideration for those who want to be teachers.
