Position Information:
The Deputy Treasurer is responsible for the oversight of delinquent tax collections while ensuring all regulatory requirements are met; and performs related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of full-time accounting, bookkeeping, collections, and fiscal records maintenance experience, to include one year of full-time supervisory experience AND a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
License Or Certificate
A valid driver’s license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained for continued employment in this classification.

- Strong background in public finance, property tax administration, and delinquent collection procedures
- Professional experience working with the bankruptcy process
- Impeccable integrity and ethical standards
- Resilience under pressure during tax seasons and fiscal year-end activities
- Experience collaborating with government agencies
- Excellent leadership skills, and an ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders
- Skills in managing office priorities and staff while consistently delivering high-quality work
- The initiative to be a self-starter, work independently, applying their understanding of state and federal laws, past experience, and thorough research to solve problems effectively.
