Deputy Treasurer

Annual Salary: $72,654.40 - $94,452.80

Position Information:

The Deputy Treasurer is responsible for the oversight of delinquent tax collections while ensuring all regulatory requirements are met; and performs related work as required.


Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of full-time accounting, bookkeeping, collections, and fiscal records maintenance experience, to include one year of full-time supervisory experience AND a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License Or Certificate
A valid driver’s license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained for continued employment in this classification.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Strong background in public finance, property tax administration, and delinquent collection procedures 
  • Professional experience working with the bankruptcy process
  • Impeccable integrity and ethical standards 
  • Resilience under pressure during tax seasons and fiscal year-end activities
  • Experience collaborating with government agencies
  • Excellent leadership skills, and an ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders
  • Skills in managing office priorities and staff while consistently delivering high-quality work
  • The initiative to be a self-starter, work independently, applying their understanding of state and federal laws, past experience, and thorough research to solve problems effectively.
