Sales & Marketing Intern (Pack STEM, Omnicore Solutions, Fall '25)

Internship Description: 

We're seeking a motivated and curious Sales and Marketing Intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience in business development, client engagement, and marketing strategy. This is a dynamic role that offers mentorship in B2B sales, exposure to real-world marketing campaigns, and the opportunity to contribute to projects that directly support business growth. The ideal candidate is proactive, creative, and excited to learn how sales and marketing work together to drive results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Complete 120 hours of work as an intern (8-15 hours per week, 15 weeks total) 
  • Assist in developing sales presentations, pitch decks, and marketing content for B2B outreach 
  • Conduct market research to identify target industries, customer segments, and competitor insights 
  • Help create social media content, email campaigns, and website copy to support brand visibility 
  • Participate in internal brainstorming sessions, client discovery calls, and weekly strategy meetings 
  • Analyze marketing and sales performance metrics to help optimize campaigns and identify growth opportunities 
  • Contribute to content planning, brand storytelling, and marketing automation initiatives 
  • Gain real-world experience in startup-style growth, customer engagement, and digital marketing execution 

 

Goals and Expectations of the Intern: 

  • Real exposure to the challenges and creativity involved in growing a small business 
  • Valuable experience at the intersection of engineering, marketing, and sales 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be a degree-seeking student at the University of Nevada, Reno during the Fall ‘25 semester  
  • Summer ‘25 or earlier graduates are not eligible for the Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing tasks independently 
  • Driven to learn and grow in the areas of sales and marketing 
  • Comfortable speaking with others and presenting information to diverse audiences 
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and willingness to take initiative 
  • Outgoing, confident, and eager to engage in customer-facing conversations and presentations 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong Graphics Design and/or video editing skills 
  • Prior sales experience is a plus 

 

Desired Schedule for Intern: 

  • 10 - 15 Hours per week and hours will be flexible to accommodate class schedule. 

 

Pack STEM internships require interns to complete 120 hours during their internship. It is the intern’s responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
