Parks Maintenance Supervisor
The Parks Maintenance Supervisor oversees district parks maintenance activities and performs a variety of difficult and complex maintenance assignments; and performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of full-time experience in grounds or parks maintenance including one year in a lead or supervisory capacity AND an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in science and natural resources, forestry, horticulture, environmental science or a closely related field from; OR any equivalent combination of training and experience.
License or Certificate
- A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained for continued employment in this classification.
- Certification as a pesticide applicator must be obtained from the Nevada State Department of Agriculture within six months of appointment and must be maintained for continued employment in this classification.
- Certification as an ISA Certified Arborist is required within one year of appointment and must be maintained for continued employment in this classification.
Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to effectively coordinate a diverse crew and foster a positive, safety-focused work culture.
- Strong knowledge of park maintenance operations, including landscaping, irrigation systems, equipment upkeep, and seasonal care for various park amenities.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks, managing schedules, and handling emergencies or repairs swiftly.
- Clear communication abilities, both verbal and written, to work with staff, vendors, and the public, and to maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Proficiency with budgeting and resource planning, including tracking maintenance costs, managing inventories, and optimizing use of materials and equipment to ensure efficiency and accountability.
