Internship Description:
Dragonfly Energy Corporation is an industry-leading lithium-ion battery manufacturer spearheading conventional and solid-state lithium-ion battery research worldwide. Our company's goal is to innovate in a growing and competitive market while making green energy storage more widely accessible to all.
As an intern, one can expect to help with lab cleanliness, set up and break down of experiments, reading SOPs, running instruments, and overall assisting Engineers and Scientists on experiments being conducted.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Complete 120 hours of work as an intern (8-15 hours per week, 15 weeks total)
- Support the R&D team throughout the scientific process: planning, documentation, set-up, data collection, and breakdown under close technical supervision.
- Collect, catalog, and report analytical results.
- Assist with laboratory and equipment maintenance.
- Prepare simple chemical solutions, media, reagents, etc.
- Assist with lab dishware.

Required Qualifications:
- Must be a degree-seeking student at the University of Nevada, Reno during the Fall ‘25 semester
- Summer ‘25 or earlier graduates are not eligible for the Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program
- Must be detailed orientated
- Be a Team Player
- Strong organizational skills
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements
- To ensure the health and safety in Dragonfly’s workplace and for the protection of Dragonfly’s employees, wearing PPE is often required and may include gloves, safety glasses, face masks, and respirators.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a B.S./M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering
- Demonstrated working knowledge of electrochemistry, physical or analytical chemistry, electrical circuits, or battery science.
- Experience solving hands-on problems in an engineering or laboratory environment.
Desired Schedule for Intern:
- 4-6 hours shifts, three times/week between the hours of 8AM-4:30PM.
Pack STEM internships require interns to complete 120 hours during their internship. It is the intern’s responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
